As Seen At Pentillie Castle

Hamish has long been intrigued by camels and nomadic life and they are a subject he returns to from time to time. The dromedary camel is central to Arabian and North African life; used for meat and diary, transport, textiles, sport and the military. Their strength and resilience, and ability to adapt to extreme temperatures and terrain, is a great example of perfect anatomical evolution.

“Studying camels showed me that their bodies are efficient and hard working tools. It also gave me a great insight into nomadic life.”(HM)

Camels have very expressive faces and Hamish has captured the character of his subject in this fine bronze Camel Head sculpture.
